The ongoing rice crisis affecting the farmers and the whole rice industry has touched the hearts of Filipinos: how can we help the farmers? How can we know more about the plight of our farmers? What can we do?
The upcoming conference “Food Farming Freedom: Breaking the Food Chain, Building Food Webs” aims to raise the critical issues surrounding our food system and help strengthen the food and farming connection. The conference is organized by consumers groups and good advocates including Bread of Freedom, Good Food Community, Me and My Veg Mouth and MASIPAG.
Expect fun and educational activities! Chefs and farmers will collaborate to showcase the diversity of our local organic produce in the dishes that will be served at the conference. Workshops will be held to help strengthen consumer awareness and action and protect our food freedom.
